Becoming an NCGI Certified Feline Master Groomer™
Partnering National Cat Groomers Institute (US), we offer Personalised Private Instruction and Certification to support your journey to earning your CFMG™ title:
① Training Syllabus
Acquire and study the Complete Cat Groomer Training Syllabus through the NCGI online portal, typically around 10 weeks.
② 1-on-1 Tutoring (Optional)
Tailored individual hands-on instruction, addressing specific candidate requirements for examination preparation.
③ Examinations
Attempt & complete the Written and Practical examinations with an NCGI Certifier.
Proctoring of all 4 written exams, 1 hr each - Temperament and Handling, Breeds, Colours and Genetics, Anatomy and Health, Business Management
S$400 (~4 hours)
Practical Exam
In-person administration of 5 exams - Long-haired Full Coat groom, Short-haired Full Coat groom, Standard Lion Cut, Lion Cut Variation, Comb Cut.
S$800 (~4 hours)
Personalised Private Instruction
1-on-1 hands-on instruction built around each candidate's strengths and areas for development, covering any combination of theory, practical techniques, handling, and scissoring.
Recommended but not a required component of certification.
In-studio Rates
Location: Hey Good Cat @ Joo Chiat
Access to grooming, showering, drying facilities, grooming tools and 2 model cats to practice with.
S$950/day (4-hours)
Off-site Rates
Venue, facilities, tools and model cats provided by candidate.
S$850/day (4-hours)
